Putting the old File menu back in max…

If like me you hate the new style max file button and you find yourself constantly putting the old File menu back in you might like this little script which does it automatically, which is useful when your max UI file corrupts (which mine seems to do weekly).  Put it in your startup scripts folder and you need never worry about it again.

(
mainMenu = menuMan.getMainMenuBar()
if ((mainmenu.getitem 1).getTitle()) != "&File" do
(
    m = menuMan.findMenu "&File"
    menuIt = menuMan.createSubMenuItem "&File" m
    mainmenu.addItem menuIt 1
    menuman.updateMenuBar()
)
)

(Thanks to Pedro Clemente for the pointer)
